GRACEVILLE SCIP – HAVE YOUR SAY

By Mirelle Macdonald

In April 2014, Brisbane City Council proposed a new Suburban Centre Improvement Project (SCIP) for the Honour Avenue shopping centre in Graceville.

As a majority of property owners supported the proposal and funding partnership, Council is excited to be able to now commence this $3.75 million upgrade. Council will undertake design, consultation and construction of this streetscape improvement project from early 2015 to mid-2016. Streetscape improvements will include new sections of pavement, street trees, garden beds, seating, bins, bicycle racks and integrated artwork.

HAVE YOUR SAY – Nominations Closing Feb 20th (for locals input in the Graceville Suburban Improvement Project).

A Community Representative Group (CRG) of up to 20 people will be formed to review Council’s detailed proposal for the Honour Avenue Graceville SCIP. The group will include representatives from local property owners, traders, residents and community groups, and will act on behalf of the community throughout the entire project.
